Lisa’s Thermography and Wellness

A
multi-use technology that has been around since the 1950s,
thermography has earned its rightful place in many of today’s
state-of-the art approaches to holistic medicine.
Because thermography imaging uses an infrared camera which measures heat from different areas of the body, the technology can spot and map conditions such as angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels), infection or inflammation.
“Thermography can discover a problem that may just be starting years before it becomes an issue,” says Lisa Mack, CCT, HHC, owner and thermographer of Lisa’s Thermography and Wellness.
With 13 locations throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, Mack and her team sees clients that appreciate the effectiveness of a radiation-free and painless screening procedure which can be used for full-body screening in both men and women.
“We see many women for breast screening. There is no contact and no compression or risk of damage to implants or underlying breast tissue with Thermography.” Non-invasive, Thermography provides information on the vascular and cellular activity of the area being imaged without negative side-effects. And, it can be performed as often as need for monitoring purposes. “This makes it the perfect tool for a more preventative strategy to breast health,” she says, adding infrared thermography has been successfully used to discover other conditions
“We are able to track how a woman metabolizes hormone replacement therapies,” Mack relates. “Our scans look at what the body is doing. For example, if we see blue in the chin area, that can often mean an issue in the bladder or uterus.”
Thermography can also assess heart function, arthritis, neck and back pain, dental issues, sinus and headaches conditions, immune dysfunctions, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, carpal tunnel syndrome and digestive disorders.
“Our team likes to use the term ‘health discovery.’ Thermography is proactive spotting inflammation, which is oftentimes the very first spark of a potential health problem, and your body’s signaling for extra help.”
“Preventing a disease process from taking hold, clients can allow trained practitioners to support the body’s ability to heal itself through various modalities such as diet changes, supplementation, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, exercise and more,” she says.
Lisa’s Thermography and Wellness supports this process by providing practitioners with valuable information which may indicate possible health challenges. “In addition, our Interpreting Physicians are MDs who believe in the power to monitor the treatment provided by your health practitioner,” Mack says. “Monitoring your chosen treatments adds valuable data to the process and may help steer the course of treatment and monitor its effectiveness.”
