SunGlow Chakras Celebrates the Summer Solstice

SunGlow Chakras will celebrate the recent summer solstice and the warm summer months still ahead with their exclusive summer solstice necklace.

The summer solstice occurred on June 21, the first day of summer, when the Earth’s rotational axis was maximally tilted toward the sun. With the sun reaching its highest point in the sky, the summer solstice is the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. Also known as “midsummer” by centuries of farmers who have already planted their crops in the spring, homages to the summer solstice and the life-giving powers of the sun have been practiced through millennia. Ancient civilizations have all left symbols of their reverence for and celebration of the sun. A time to honor the Earth’s cycle, the power of the sun, and the gifts we receive from the cycle of nature, many cultures celebrate the summer solstice in many different ways.

Individually, the 21st was a day to not only physically awaken with the sunrise, but also to awaken ones introspection, spirit, creativity and passions. It was a time to reflect on our own inner power and potential with the warmth of the coming summer months being a gift of sunshine and new energies. It reminds us that we are part of the cycle of life, helping us to honor the wonder of the sun and our amazing world.
